  • The Rise of Craft Wine
The Craft Wine Association non-profit was  launched a few days ago (https://craftwine.org/), with the vision to close the gap between smaller wine producers and uneducated consumers. 
"Craft" supports small producers and says ethically and responsibly produced. Authentic and simple. 
It is left to see if the craft certification will constitute a strong differentiation point for winemakers.
Is it what consumers are looking for? Will Millenials fall for the "craft" trend of wine?
After all, wine is not beer.

There exists a ‘break point’ today of around $9 per bottle that demarcates growth and decline regarding sales, in terms of both dollars and case volume. The ‘State of the Wine Industry 2018’ report defines wine with a retail cost of $10 or more per bottle as ‘premium,’ and constituting a segment that ‘dominates sales and is responsible for all the growth in the trade today.’
